At Ambrosia India, our textiles are more than just materials—they are the soul of our brand. We take immense pride in creating timeless
silhouettes using fabrics that tell a story. Our commitment to sustainability shines through our choice of textiles, sourced from NGOs
and weavers across India.

Kala Cotton

This 'old world' cotton from Kutch is grown rain-fed, free from chemicals and pesticides. My first visit to Gujarat was unforgettable—meeting the weavers in Bhuj, feeling the warmth and dedication they pour into their craft, I knew instantly that this would be the heart of my debut collection. We source kala cotton from Bhuj through NGOs and local artisans in Bhujodi and Ajrakhpur, who spin and hand-weave this unique fabric. We use solid colors and adorn them with easy, hand-embroidered details, creating something truly special.

Jamdani

Jamdani fabric captured my heart with its delicate beauty. Woven by skilled artisans in Burdwan district, West Bengal, this lightweight textile offers a canvas for vibrant and subtle motifs alike. Each piece of Jamdani is a labor of love, adding a touch of history and elegance to our modern designs.

Mulberry  Silk

We source our silk from the Chanderi region in Madhya Pradesh, known for its fine, light, and flowy fabric. Our minimal hand-embroidered details on this luxurious silk make our garments versatile, suitable for both casual days and intimate festivities.

Linen

Ideal for everyday wear and summer vacations, linen is a cornerstone of our summer collections. Sourced from Bhagalpur, Bihar, linen’s strength and breathability make it perfect for long-lasting comfort. Our linen garments are elevated with our signature hand-embroidered details, making them a staple for effortless, stylish living.

Natural Dyeing

Our fabrics are dyed with natural or AZO-free dyes, ensuring a commitment to both sustainability and quality. We dye at both the yarn and fabric stages, preserving the integrity of the textile and the environment.

Our commitment to these textiles is not just about the fabric—it’s about the people and stories behind them. The journey of sourcing these fabrics has been deeply personal and transformative. From the bustling weaver markets of Gujarat to the serene studios of Madhya Pradesh, each fabric we select adds a personal touch to our collections, making every piece a testament to our dedication to heritage, sustainability, and the artistry of Indian textiles.
